Card with detachable bookmark

Here’s an easy card to make that has a wow factor despite its simplicity.

Open it up to find it’s a card and a gift in one. It has a detachable bookmark.

This is made using the perforation wheel attachment on the Take Your Pick tool by Stampin’ Up!

You can see all the measurements and products I used in this video below.

Blended Alcohol Technique

I made this card to showcase another way of using our Stampin’ Up’s Blends. This panel on the side is made using a strip of window sheet coloured with Blends, then spritzed with alcohol.

It is a fun technique. It’s easy to do. The longest part is waiting for the alcohol to evaporate so that the ink is properly dry. I ended up using a heat gun to speed up the process which is a good ideas because it spreads the ink around more and creates the marbled look you see on my card.

I did a video of making this card. It’s in two parts as I bumped the camera when I was using the heat gun. Lol. Part one… https://youtu.be/g70SMTehTjk?si=V0HE8VcfgffRSzbZ

Dragonfly Garden

Us Stampin! Up! demonstrators who attended the recent On Stage event were blessed to be able to purchase the Dragonfly Garden bundle. (It won’t be available for everyone else until the New Year). This is one of the many perks of being a demonstrator.

Anyway… here is a card I made using some products from the bundle. The designer series paper is so nice and detailed, I decided to make it the main feature. The big dragonfly is stamped and punched out with the dragonfly punch. A piece of linen ribbon tied around finishes it off. This is another thing I love about Stampin! Up!; the colour coordination. The ribbon is in Mossy Meadow, the same as the card.

Isn’t this sheet of DSP pretty? You could use it as it is or you could punch the printed dragonflies out and use them on separate projects.
