Latte Love

I love these coffee cards. We made them at a team day using a one sheet wonder, which gave us two cards from one sheet of Designer series paper. The paper we used is called Country Woods by Stampin’ Up!

The layout is similar for both cards but the orientation has been changed. For the landscape orientation, I added two coffee cups. I wanted the handle on one of the cups to go the opposite direction, so I stamped it on my silicon craft sheet first, then pressed my Pool Party card onto the craft sheet to pick up the stamped image and voila, it is a reverse image. It’s that easy. The only thing is the image is lighter. I stamped off my right side facing handle coffee to make it lighter to match the one I did with the silicon sheet.

I used white embossing powder to do the coffee beans as they are hard to see on the Early Espresso card.

And of course, I had to stamp the inside. The stamped images are coloured in using Stampin’ Blends.

Happier than happy baby card

I designed this card as part of a team challenge. We had to design a card using this sketch below, from My Favorite Things.

Here is what I designed using the Happy than Happy bundle from the Annual catalogue.

I particularly wanted my fox with a brown outline and orange body so I experimented and was really impressed with the result. I used Sahara Sand ink to ink up the stamp and then I coloured over the Sahara Sand bits with a light Calypso Coral Blend.

It worked out well. You could still see hints of the Sahara Sand ink through the Blend colouring. It lends a nice soft look to this baby card which is exactly what I wanted. The alternative would have been to stamp the fox in Calypso Coral ink and I feel it would have been too much orange for this card. I used a Gray Granite marker pen to dot in the eye, just so it stood out a little more.

What other colours inks have you tried with your blends?

Blushing Bride Blends

I needed a Blushing Bride Blend pen to colour in these little flowers on a small treat holder and as yet, Stampin’ Up! does not make the Blushing Bride colour. But no worries, as the name suggests, these pens blend together perfectly.
I used Light Flirty Flamingo and Dark Petal Pink. The result is a beautiful Blushing Bride!
